FIS homepage of the University Medical Center Greifswald (UMG)
The Universitys research information system contains comprehensive information on the research achievements of scientists from all faculties including the University Medical Center Greifswald (UMG). Its innovative matrix structure allows the flexible linking of different entities, such as publications, projects, prizes/awards, institutions, research associations and persons. Cooperation structures across departments, institutes, faculties and universities can be mapped without restrictions.
With the inter-faculty research information system the University of Greifswald makes an important strategic contribution and sets new standards in view of the constantly growing importance of documenting research activities in their quality and quantity. The research information system significantly increases the transparency of research activities for employees and cooperation partners. In addition to its function as a central source of information, the research information system offers comprehensive reporting functionalities to internal users of the University and the University Medical Center Greifswald. These range from publication, citation and project lists to an online web export and automated evaluation algorithms for the performance-oriented allocation of funds.
The conception and programming of the FIS is carried out under the direction of the deanery of the UMG and the Institute for Community Medicine. As an in-house development of the University of Greifswald, specific requirements of the users can be taken into account without problems and in a timely manner.
