Legal basis

Insofar as the university obtains consent (including contact form, newsletter) from the data subject for the collection of personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR serves as the legal basis.
If processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of the university and the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the person concerned do not outweigh the former interest, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing.

Logging

We, the website operator or the website provider of the research information system, collect data on access to the data based on our legitimate interest (see Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. Website and save them as u201EServer log files u201C on the server of the website. The following data is logged:

Collection and processing of personal data by employees of the University of Greifswald

The research information system processes personal data in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the State Data Protection Act Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (DSG MV).
